Aldi To Open In Summer, Starts Hiring Friday
Aldi will host a hiring event Friday in preparation of its Aberdeen store launch this year.

Aldi won't open its Aberdeen location until this summer, but it will begin hiring staff this week.
The new location of the chain store will hold a hiring event Friday. Company representatives will meet with prospective employees from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday at the Holiday Inn Express at 1007 Beards Hill Rd.
Aldi is seeking cashiers, shift managers and manager trainees. Those positions would pay between $12 and $25 per hour, according to a news release from Aldi.

Potential employees must be 18 or older, with a high school diploma or GED and available to work between 6 a.m. and 11 p.m. Retail experience is preferred, and staff members must be able to lift 45 pounds, according to the release.
The store "will expand grocery retail options in the market with the ALDI brand promise of high-quality grocery items at unbeatable prices," according to the release.

Staff members working at least 20 hours a week are eligible for full health insurance—including dental—as well as a 401K, according to the release.
The Aberdeen store will be the second in Harford County, joining one in Edgewood. It will be the 18th store in Maryland.
