APG's ARL, Students Team Up For Earth Day
A new greenhouse will be in place on Aberdeen Proving Ground for Earth Day.

's Army Research Laboratory and students with ARL's Youth Services Center built a greenhouse from scratch last week as part of the organization's Earth Day activities.
The greenhouse will be used as an educational tool, but also to help provide quality produce for locals.
In particular, 's Jason Hisley will develop a cupcake utilizing zucchini from the garden. Hisley and the students will also use the goods grown from the green house to create a meal.

"We have soldiers and scientists working alongside military kids to build this greenhouse and begin planting the seeds inside," T'Jae Gibson, of ARL's Office of Public Affairs, wrote in an email to . "At harvest, Chef Jason and the kids will cook a feast—featuring these veggies—for senior APG military."
