2-Month-Old Baby Boy Taken From Hagerstown Found Safe: Police
According to Hagerstown police, the baby has been found safe in Washington, D.C. One person has been taken into custody.

HAGERSTOWN, MD — A 2-month-old baby taken from its mother's apartment in Hagerstown has been found safe.
On Tuesday, Hagerstown police officers said a woman told them that she had left her two-month-old baby, Zori Cherry, at her apartment in the 200 block of W. Franklin Street with a male acquaintance.
Officers said when she returned to her apartment, the man was still there but the baby was gone.

Just before 11 a.m. Wednesday, police confirmed that Baby Zori had been found in Washington, D.C. with help from the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Maryland State Police and Metropolitan Police Department.
Police said a woman, Tianna Mona Dawkins, has been taken into custody.

Police said Dawkins took the child from his mother’s home in Hagerstown and fled to Washington, D.C. where they were both located.
Dawkins and the child’s mother had been acquainted with one another, police said.
The child is currently in the custody of child protective services.
The investigation remains ongoing.
