Best Beaches In U.S.A: MD Town Recognized Nationally

OCEAN CITY, MD — One of the best beaches across the country can be found in Maryland, Travel + Leisure said this month.

The travel publication compiled a list of the nation's 25 best beaches, and Ocean City made the cut.

Travel + Leisure reported various traits can be considered when searching for the perfect beach, including: the quality of the sand, the waves, level of seclusion, public transportation and accessible parking.

Boardwalks, activities and shade possibilities can also be evaluated in the search, the publication said.

According to its website, Ocean City has "fun for every season." Bordering the Atlantic Ocean, the Maryland town offers surfing, fishing and kayaking. And yes - the 10-mile stretch of land has shopping and culinary opportunities, its website said.

Bonfire Restaurant, Blue Fish, Bayside Skillet, Barrio Taco, Assateague Crab House, 32 Palm, Alley Oops, Angler Restaurant, 28th St. Pit n Pub, AnnaBelles Barbeque and Creamery are some of the available eateries.
