Most top school districts in Maryland pay their teachers a salary of $70,000 or more on average, making the state one of the best in the nation for teacher salaries, according to Niche.
In the Montgomery County Public Schools, the average salary paid to teachers is one of the highest in the state at more than $85,000, while the lowest pay listed was Kent County Public Schools at about $58,000, according to Niche.
