OCEAN CITY, MD — Independence Day is quickly approaching, which means it's time to make travel plans and find out what Fourth of July fireworks and festivities are going on in Ocean City for 2023.
We have details on the fireworks shows happening in Ocean City so you can start planning now.
And if you plan to drive over for the day, you can check traffic for the Chesapeake Bay Bridge site. Delays are notoriously long, with traffic backing up for miles, on holiday weekends.

Here's what's in store this July 4 in Ocean City:
What: Simultaneous fireworks displays on July 4 will light up the beach and the bay.

Where: The northern display at Northside Park, 125th Street and the bay, will kick off at 8 p.m. with DJ musical entertainment followed by fireworks at 9:30 p.m. The soccer field and walking path on the northwest side of the park will be closed from viewing.
On the south end of town, Ocean City’s Boardwalk will host the U.S. Army military band Downrange on the Caroline Street Stage at 7 p.m. followed by DJ music and the fireworks show at 9:30 p.m.

Parking operations for the Inlet Parking Lot will stay the same for the holiday, Tuesday, July 4, however; the parking rate for the Inlet Lot will increase to $5 per hour for the day. Visitors are reminded that parking is extremely limited at both fireworks locations and significant traffic delays are expected after both shows.
Coastal Highway bus service will be available from 6 a.m. to 3 a.m. Patrons can ride for only $4 for a ride-all-day pass and are reminded to anticipate delays, limited services, and full buses due to an ongoing shortage of bus drivers.
The West Ocean City Park & Ride on Route 50 is another transportation alternative, offering free parking and $4 ride-all-day shuttle service downtown at Dorchester Street and St. Louis Avenue. The service running to and from the West Ocean City Park & Ride to Dorchester Street and St. Louis Avenue will be available from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.
The West Ocean City Park & Ride will have a limited number of buses and major delays are expected. West Ocean City Park & Ride passes are valid on Coastal Highway buses.
Here's what's in store this July 4 in Baltimore City:
What: This year’s Inner Harbor July 4 festivities begin at 3 p.m. and the 13-minute fireworks display will go off around 9:15 p.m., according to Visit Baltimore.
The event will include food, fun activities, and a DJ at the Red, White, and Blue Picnic at West Shore Park. Then, entertainers will perform from 4 to 6:30 p.m. at the Inner Harbor Amphitheater. Between concerts, there will be a DJ, street performers, and activities from various attractions along the promenade.
At 8 p.m., the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra will host a Star-Spangled Celebration concert under the baton of newly appointed Music Director Jonathan Heyward in Rash Field Park.
The full orchestra performance will culminate around 9:15 p.m. with a 15-minute fireworks display. The best views are along the Inner Harbor promenade and surrounding areas, including Canton, Federal Hill, Fell’s Point, Harbor East, and Locust Point.

What: Annapolis Independence Day Celebration (Parade, Concert and Fireworks)
Where: Parade starts on Amos Garrett Boulevard, heads down West Street, travels around Church Circle and goes to the end of Main Street. Music is at City Dock. Fireworks are in the harbor.
When: Tuesday, July 4 (Parade at 6:30 p.m. Salvation Army Band at 8 p.m. Fireworks at 9:15 p.m.)
