HANCOCK, MD — Sen. John Fetterman, D-PA, was driving when he collided with another vehicle on I-70 in Maryland Sunday morning, reports said. He and his wife, Giselle, were evaluated at a hospital before they returned home.

Media reports said the senator was driving a Chevrolet Traverse that rear-ended a Chevrolet Impala as the vehicles were westbound on I-70 at the interchange with I-68 near Hancock. No citations were issued.

Fetterman, 54, was treated for a sore shoulder and his wife was checked out of an abundance of caution, his spokesman told the New York Post. The people in the Impala were not named, but the passenger of the other car, along with the Fettermans, was taken to War Memorial Hospital in West Virginia, according to police.
