MD Man Stabbed Relative In Head In Argument Over Remote Control: Cops

Charles County authorities are searching for 50-year-old Cliffton Eugene Greenfield, who fled following the Jan. 10 incident.

CHARLES COUNTY, MD — Charles County authorities are searching for a man they say stabbed a family member during an argument over the use of a television remote control.

Cliffton Eugene Greenfield, 50, of Bryans Road, is wanted for first-degree assault following the Jan. 10 incident, the Charles County Sheriff's Office said in a news release.

According to authorities, Greenfield stabbed the victim in the head and neck. The victim was taken to the hospital by another family member, where they were treated for severe injuries.

According to the sheriff's office, Greenfield fled the scene before deputies arrived. Detectives have been searching for Greenfield, but he has not been located.

Authorities described Greenfield as 6 feet tall. He weighs 220 pounds and has no left arm.
