MD Woman Accused Of 'Smacking' Boy On Plane Who Called Her Fat
An MD woman is accused of hitting a boy aboard a flight at the Orlando-Sanford International Airport in Florida.

ORLANDO, FL — A Maryland woman was arrested this week after authorities said she struck a child and slammed his head against an airplane window because he called her fat, according to multiple reports citing police.
Kristy Crampton of Hagerstown was taken into custody and charged with felony child abuse after the incident that occurred Monday on board a flight departing Sanford-Orlando International Airport in Florida, according to an arrest report obtained by People.com.
When police arrived at the airport after receiving a call about a disturbance on the flight, Crampton told officers she struck the boy after he told her she couldn't fit in the airplane seat, reports said. He also called her "fat" and "Miss Piggy," a reference to the Muppets characters.

According to a WFTV report, witnesses told police Crampton had struck the child with her fist and hit him in the head with a water bottle. The report said she also “slammed” the child’s head into the airplane window.
Reports said Crampton told police the child was “very rude” and “disrespectful” during their trip to Walt Disney World. She said he also pushed her arm off the armrest twice, and that’s when she began “smacking” him.
