Wegmans, Harris Teeter, Aldi: New Year's 2023 MD Grocery Store Hours

MARYLAND — Whether you're hosting friends for snacks and drinks on New Year's Eve, or stocking up Jan. 1 NFL game day eats, it’s quite possible to forget an item or two. While most grocery stores in Maryland will be open on New Year's Eve and Day for those last-minute needs, a few will be closed.

As always, Patch encourages you to call ahead to your local store to confirm hours at that location.

• 7-Eleven: All 7-Eleven stores will be open on New Year's Day for their regular hours.
• Aldi: Open until 7 p.m. New Year’s Eve. Closed New Year’s Day.
• BJ's Wholesale Club: Stores will be open from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. New Year’s Eve and 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. New Year’s Day.
• Costco: Stores will be open on New Year's Eve, and all stores will be closed New Year's Day. Call ahead to confirm hours with your local store.
• CVS: You can stop by CVS pharmacies on New Year's Day, but hours may vary by location.
• Food Lion: Stores will be open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.
• Fresh Market: Open 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. New Year’s Eve and 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. New Year’s Day.
• Giant Food: Open 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. on New Year's Eve and 6 a.m. to midnight on New Year's Day.
• Harris Teeter: Open normal business hours on New Year's Eve and New Year's Day.
• Kroger: Expect all Kroger stores, including 24-hour locations, to be open and operating for normal business hours. Pharmacy hours may vary.
• Lidl: Open 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. New Year’s Eve. Closed New Year’s Day.
• MOMs Organic Market: New Year's Eve: Most stores open 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.; New Year's Day: Most stores open 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
• RiteAid: Stores and pharmacies will be open on New Year's Eve and Day for regular hours.
• Safeway: Safeway and Albertsons stores will be open on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.
• Sam’s Club: Stores will be open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. New Year’s Eve and 10 to 8 p.m. New Year’s Day.
• Sheetz: Most locations will be open 24 hours on New Year's Eve and New Year's Day.
• ShopRite: Hours will vary by location. Call ahead to your local store to confirm hours.
• Sprouts: Open 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. New Year’s Eve and 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. New Year’s Day.
• Target: Expect stores to be open for their regular operating hours.
• Trader Joe’s: On New Year's Eve all stores will close at 5 p.m. On New Year's Day all stores will be closed.
• Walgreens: Locations will be open on New Year's Eve and New Year's Day, but hours may vary for each location.
• Walmart: Regular store hours for New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day, which vary by location.
• Wawa: Most locations will be open 24 hours on New Year's Eve and New Year's Day.
• Wegmans: Stores will close at 8 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 31, and will reopen on Sunday, Jan. 1, at 6 a.m.
• Whole Foods: Stores will be open 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. on New Year's Eve and 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on New Year's Day.
