Zaxby's Opens 1st MD Restaurant: See Where
The fast-casual restaurant, born in Georgia and specializing in fried chicken, just opened its first Maryland location.
WALDORF, MD — Maryland has its first Zaxby's, and Waldorf is the community that is home to the southern fast-casual chain as of Nov. 12, the chain said.
The new restaurant located at 3068 Waldorf Market Place is open for dine-in and drive-thru service. It is owned and operated by Manuel Fierro, William Sanders and Romanus Anamege of RMW1 LLC.
Born in Georgia, Zaxbys specializes in fried chicken, including chicken fingers — or as the chain calls them, Chicken Fingerz — as well as sandwiches and wings.

“Our mission is to repeatedly demonstrate excellent southern hospitality by providing friendly service and taste bud tantalizing food from the world famous Zaxbys brand,” said the owners in a news release.
The new Zaxbys location seating for 56 serve dine-in guests, as well as a drive thru and curbside pickup to provide expedited service to guests.

Customers will also be able to order ahead online via zaxbys.com, through the Zaxbys app available for download on Google Play and the App Store, and GrubHub for curbside pickup.
Delivery orders can be made directly through the app, as well as through DoorDash, GrubHub, UberEats, and EZCater.
This is RMW1 LLC’s first Zaxbys location and the group worked with local CMI Contractors of St. Mary’s to develop the first Maryland location. The restaurant is expected to provide about 60 new jobs locally.
The first Zaxby's opened in 1990 in Georgia and has since expanded to include more than 950 locations in 17 states, according to its website.
