Anne Arundel County Executive Schuh Promotes Holiday Season Volunteerism

Steve Schuh spent the afternoon with St. Philip Neri Food Pantry on Tuesday, Nov. 22.

From Anne Arundel County: Anne Arundel County Executive Steve Schuh this week encouraged all citizens to volunteer their time this holiday season to help the less fortunate.

“Thanksgiving and the holiday season provide unique opportunities for citizens to volunteer and help those in need,” said Schuh. “I encourage all citizens of Anne Arundel County to take time and serve their neighbors.”

The County Executive spent Tuesday afternoon delivering turkeys to the food pantry at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church in Linthicum. The third Thursday of every month families can visit the pantry for supplies. The pantry averages service for approximately 70 families a month. This November, St. Phillip Neri increased their service to nearly 100 families, which represents around 300 people.
