Annapolis Shooting Hospitalizes Man: Police

ANNAPOLIS, MD — A man was shot and hospitalized recently in Annapolis, city police announced Monday morning. Officers expect him to survive.

Authorities heard about the shooting around 6:11 p.m. Sunday. Police said they responded to the Anne Arundel Medical Center, where the victim was getting treatment.

The victim was in the 1300 block of Tyler Avenue when he was shot in the lower torso, officers said.

Authorities said the man's girlfriend then drove him to the hospital.

The Annapolis Police Department said there are no more details to release at this time.

Officers said they will release more information as it becomes available and appropriate.

Authorities did not mention any suspects, leads or arrests.
