Celebrate New Year's Eve in Downtown Annapolis with Fireworks, Magicians

There will be two rounds of fireworks this year, one at 7:30 p.m., and another at midnight.

The city of Annapolis will host a New Year's bash at City Dock in downtown to ring in 2014.

The family-friendly event will feature magicians, live music, face painting, dancing and—of course—fireworks.

There will be two rounds of fireworks this year, one at 7:30 p.m., and another at midnight. Two great spots to view each of the loud light shows are Susan Campbell Park and Main Street.

A full schedule of events follows:

  • 2:45 p.m.—Town Crier Fred Taylor / Annapolis Drum & Bugle Corps “Pied Piper”
  • 3:30 p.m.—Chesapeake Children’s Museum / Face painting
  • 4:30 p.m.—The Magical Worlds of Jack Julius
  • 5:30 p.m.—Goombay “The Caribbean Experience” with Orlando Phillips & Elizabeth Melvin
  • 7:30 p.m.—Fireworks
  • 7 p.m.—Scott Hymes DJ / Dance Party
  • 10 p.m.—Radio City / Live Music
  • 12 a.m.—Fireworks

All events are free unless otherwise specified. No badges or buttons are required to participate in the festivities.

The city's circulator will run on its regular route from 8:30 a.m. Dec. 31 to 1:30 a.m. Jan. 1.
