A coalition of residents and business owners is fighting a rezoning plan for City Dock.
The Baltimore Sun reports the Coalition to Save Annapolis—comprised of groups including the Ward One Residents Association and the Annapolis Business Association, as well as individual homeowners and businesses—is set to begin working against the bill Tuesday.
A launch event will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Fleet Reserve Club, according to the report.
The City Council has not yet taken any action on the bill since it was introduced in May.
In addition to adding more green space to the downtown district and retaining the view shed down Main Street, the plan seeks to open building heights up to five stories along Dock Street, and up to three stories at the Fawcett site.
The master plan can be viewed online.
