Mids Reignite the Rivalry in Army-Navy Pep Rally

Kickoff for the Saturday rivalry match is 3 p.m. Saturday at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, PA.

Midshipmen got all fired up this week during a pep rally for the upcoming 31st-annual Army-Navy game in Philadelphia.

Literally reigniting the rivalry, pyrotechnics were used during the evening rally in front of Bancroft Hall Wednesday.

For the big game, midshipmen will be sporting new uniforms designed by Nike specifically for the match.

Kickoff for the Saturday rivalry match is 3 p.m. Saturday at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, PA.

Continuing a ceremony before the match, midshipmen of the 13th Company will gather at noon Friday for a motivational kickoff to begin the 135 mile trek from Bancroft Hall to Philadelphia in the 31st running of the Army-Navy game ball, according to a press release.

The first relay team of Midshipmen will be joined by the Naval Academy’s Commandant and Naval Academy 13th Company alumni as they take their route on foot to Philadelphia.

The Army team will also run a game ball, beginning their trip from West Point. Both game balls will be presented by each team’s ball runners at the stadium prior to the start of the game.
