Police Seek Stabbing Suspect: Annapolis Crime Blotter

An assault, theft, burglary and more were reported this week in Annapolis, according to police.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — Here's a look at some of the weekend crimes investigated by the Annapolis Police Department, including a burglary, assault and more.

Police responded to 335 calls for service and arrested eight people in the last 72 hours.

Thursday, April 26

  • Theft of Propane Tank: 600 block of Chester Ave.: A large white propane tank attached to the side of a home was stolen sometime between 8:30 p.m. Thursday and 5:30 p.m. Friday.

Friday, April 27

  • Attempted Burglary: 1100 block of Tyler Av at 12:10pm: Officers responded to the home for an intrusion alarm and found an open window. It appears an unknown suspected attempted to enter the home through the window, but triggered the alarm and fled. Nothing was stolen from the home.
  • Theft of Mail: 1300 block of Primrose Rd from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.: An envelope delivered to a mailbox was opened and a check inside was stolen.
  • Burglary: 900 block of President St at 2:45pm: Tyjaya Pollack, 19, of Annapolis was arrested for kicking open the rear door of an apartment. Pollack forced her way into the apartment to look for a family member. She also broke two windows adjacent to the door. Pollack was charged with fourth degree burglary, destruction of property and disorderly conduct. Pollack was released by the District Court Commissioner.

  • Assault: 900 block of President St at 5:01 p.m.: Officers responded for a report of a stabbing and located a 37 year old male victim from Annapolis. The victim was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries. This is an active investigation and anyone with information is asked to contact our detectives at 410-260-3439.
  • Attempted Theft from Vehicle: Boxwood Rd at Hilltop Lane: A side window to the vehicle was smashed, but nothing was stolen from inside.
