Search for Missing Man Continues in Waters Around City Dock
The waters around City Dock and Ego Alley were searched Wednesday morning for a man who has been missing for a week in Annapolis.

Nearly a week after Robert Allen Stewart, 36, went missing, an extensive search by both police and friends has turned up no leads.
Stewart was last seen by City Dock with friends in downtown Annapolis at 1 a.m. Friday morning. The next day, his workplace, Mills Fine Wine and Spirits, reported him missing when he didn't show up for work, and no one could locate him.
On Wednesday morning, the Annapolis Police Department and the Department of Natural Resources Police searched the waters around City Dock and Ego Alley for four hours as a precaution.
"We had no indication he went into the water, but because that was the last place he was seen, that was one of the places we covered," said Annapolis police spokeswoman Cpl. Amy Miguez.
Wednesday night, friends formed a search party and canvassed the downtown area, but turned up no additional leads, Miguez said.
Since Stewart's disappearance, police have monitored his online accounts and cell phone for any possible activities, but none have occurred.
"There's been no activity that we've found. No one has seen or heard from him at this point," Miguez said. "It's become a growing concern for his friends and family."
Anyone with information on Stewart's whereabouts is urged to contact Detective Tom Pyles with the Annapolis Police Department at 410-268-9000, or by email at tnpyles@annapolis.gov.
