Still Lots to Do and Festivals to Hit Yet This Summer
Even though school preparations are starting to get under way, there's still a lot left to do this summer and some great concerts to see.

We hate to say it out loud, but the summer is about half over.
But fret not, there's still a slew of festivals on the schedule in the weeks ahead to look forward to. So get out your calendar (or pull it up on your phone) and mark off the following dates:

Quiet Waters will play host to new music each Saturday in the park's amphitheater. Bring your chair or blankets, along with a cooler (alocohol is not allowed.) Admission to the park for the during the concerts is free.

Fridays through Sept. 30: Annapolis Towne Centre at Parole Free Friday Night Concert Series
Every Friday the common area of the Annapolis Towne Centre at Parole fills with people and takes on quite a festive atmoshpere. Local and national musicians, each a crowd favorite, perform for free.
Bring a chair or a blanket, enjoy the shops and restaurants at the towne centre and enjoy live music on a warm summer evening.
Aug. 20: Chesapeake Pride Festival
This pride festival in Edgewater includes a car show, live music and other events.
Aug. 26 to Sept. 5: Maryland State Fair
This popular state fair includes special guest musicians Selena Gomez, Blake Shelton and All Time Low.
Aug. 27, 28, Sept. 3, 4, 5, 10, 11, 17, 18, 24, 25, Oct. 1, 2, 8, 9, 15, 16, 22, 23: Maryland Renaissance Festival
Who hasn't heard of the Maryland Ren Fest? Thousands of people visit every year. There are food, music, shows and all sorts of other activities available.
Sept. 16: Anne Arundel County Fair
A number of country-themed events take place at this fair each year, such as tractor pulls and crafting. The fair also hosts a number of other attractions, including a performance by country music artist Rodney Atkins.
