Summer Academy at Mills-Parole Elementary
The county school system offers a way for elementary school students to keep up their reading and math skills during the summer.

For students, summer is a time to relax and recharge. But having more than two months off can sometimes result in a loss of skills learned during the school year.
For parents who are concerned about keeping their children's minds active in the summer (and for students who miss the social interaction of classmates), Anne Arundel County Public Schools offers the Elementary Summer Academy.
This program is designed for students currently in kindergarten through fifth grade who wish to maintain their reading and math skills throughout the summer in a positive learning environment.
