ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MD — Jobseekers can take part in a $25 gas gift card giveaway during an upcoming job fair hosted by Visit Annapolis and Anne Arundel County.

VAAAC is hosting The Greater Baltimore and Annapolis Hospitality & Tourism Job Fair in partnership with Anne Arundel Workforce Development Corporation (AAWDC) and the Maryland Tourism Coalition (MTC).

The job fair will take place at the BWI Airport Marriott on 1743 West Nursery Rd. in Linthicum on Monday, May 2, from 9 a.m. until noon.

Job seekers may enter to win one of 50 $25 Gas Gift Cards by completing an entry form that will be available at employer tables, with drawings occurring throughout the three-hour job fair.

“The Greater Baltimore and Annapolis Hospitality & Tourism Job Fair is the perfect event for job seekers to meet with employers on the spot to begin, or return to, a career in our industry,” stated Kristen Pironis, Executive Director of VAAAC. “We are delighted to have more than two dozen employers registered for our in-person regional job fair and with the recent increase in gas prices, we decided a gas gift card giveaway promotion was perfectly timed to attract job seekers to the event,” she added.

According to a Tourism Economics report, 15,297 people were directly employed by the travel and tourism industry in Annapolis and Anne Arundel County in 2020. This was down 30.4 percent from the 21,974 people who were directly employed by the industry in 2019.
