Woman Slams Door on Home Invader Pretending to Deliver Package
A woman opened her door, and a man tried to barge his way in, pulling a handgun from his waist.
A robber posing as a package delivery man pointed a gun at a woman, but she was able to close the door on him, police said.
On New Year's Eve, a man carrying a package knocked on the door of a home in the 800 block of Brooke Court in Annapolis. A woman cracked the door open, and the man tried to barge his way in, pulling a handgun from his waist, according to a police report.
A second man was behind the first, the woman told police. She was able to close the door on the man while telling a nearby family member to call the police. At this point, the two men fled.
When police arrived, they canvassed the area but found no suspects. The resident said she did not know the suspects.
No one was injured in the incident, police said. Crime scene investigators took evidence from the area.
