1 Closure, Other Anne Arundel Schools to Open Friday

All but one of Anne Arundel County's public schools will open on time on Friday.

In a statement emailed to parents, school system officials said a "preliminary assessment of schools in the wake of today's storms shows no major damage and several power outages," but most schools will be open.

The only closure will be at Georgetown East Elementary School in Annapolis, where a transformer was damaged in the storm.

Friday is the final day of class for students. Georgetown East students will not make up the missed day of class, the announcement said.
