The Baltimore Police Department said all three were charged with first-degree murder.

Holt's mother, Roxanne Spath, remembers a flood of emotions when she learned about the arrests.

"I was literally looking up moments before the call and saying I need a sign. I need to know you’re OK. When I got the call, it was everything I needed and more," Spath told FOX45. "I looked at them. A lot of mixed emotions. At first anger, like how dare you and screaming at my phone. Then something came over me just to pray. Pray that we get the justice that’s needed for what they did. They took my best friend. They took my daughter."

Officers said the shootout happened on Oct. 27 around 3:43 a.m. in the unit block of West Hamburg Street.

Authorities said Holt was not involved in the altercation but was still struck by gunfire.

Police said a 28-year-old was also shot and hospitalized in the shootout, but he survived.

Citing the statement of charges, FOX45 reported that Richardson and the second victim argued in the parking lot before Richardson, Cancel-Soto and Clark later fired shots toward his car.

Investigators found 35 pieces of ballistic evidence on the scene, FOX 45 said.

FOX45 reported the shooting left Holt paralyzed and on life support in Shock Trauma.

Officers said Holt died on Nov. 7.

A GoFundMe has raised over $19,400 for Holt's family. The fundraiser is still collecting donations at this link.
