4 Guns, 1,700 Bullets Taken From Home in Burglary

A burglar took more than $3,000 worth of items from a home on Windwhisper Lane, police said.

A burglar made off with automatic rifles and nearly 2,000 rounds of ammunition in a home burglary in Annapolis on Saturday, police said.

A man from Windwhisper Lane in Annapolis came home to find a burglar had taken approximately $3,100 worth of items, including four guns, a camera and 1,700 rounds of ammunition, according to a police report.

Taken from the home were an M1 Carbine rifle, an SKS semi-automatic rifle, a Browning semi-automatic pistol, a Marlin lever-action rifle, a 35 mm Sea Life camera, and an assortment of bullets wrapped in boxes and plastic, according to the report.

The victim told police that he left his home at about 7 p.m. the night of the burglary, and came home six hours later to find the home had been broken into. 

No items were taken from other areas of the home. Police said the suspects likely knew the location of the weapons and ammunition prior to the burglary.
