After-School Activities Canceled Due to Storms
In a statement on its website, Anne Arundel County Public Schools officials said an announcement is forthcoming about the status of Friday classes.
All after-school activities scheduled Thursday are canceled due to inclement weather, according to a post on the Anne Arundel County Public schools website.
Non-school-sponsored activities, including after-school day care, may continue as scheduled. Officials ask parents to check with the sponsoring agency.
No decision has yet been made about whether schools will open on Friday, according to the statement.

"At this time, the school year will not be extended for students and staff," the statement adds.
Friday is the last scheduled day of classes for students.
