BALTIMORE — An Anne Arundel County fire truck caught fire Monday afternoon in Baltimore City.

Anne Arundel County Fire Department Reserve truck 88 was out of service and was in Baltimore City receiving maintenance from a private business.

The ladder truck caught fire and was extinguished by the Baltimore City Fire Department in the 500 block of Ensor Street. That's located in the Oldtown Mall section of the city.

Nobody was hurt.

Anne Arundel County Fire Department investigators were on the scene late Monday afternoon to determine the cause of the blaze.

The department was unable to say if the fire started while the truck was heading to the business, was at the business or was leaving the business. The agency did not yet know if the truck was destroyed or if it was salvageable.

"We will have more information as the investigation progresses," Anne Arundel County Fire Department spokesperson Steven Bishop told Patch in an email.

Patch contacted the Baltimore City Fire Department for more details. The department has not yet responded. We will update this article if the communications office replies.
