County Exec Named 1 of 6 'Women to Watch' by Washingtonian Mag

Laura Neuman has been in office for under a year, but landed a top spot in a magazine's 'Women to Watch' feature.

The latest edition of The Washingtonian lists Laura Neuman, Anne Arundel County's Executive, as one of six "Women to Watch" in the region.

Neuman said she was honored to be among those listed, saying the recognition lets her know "that we are on the right track."

The magazine article describes Neuman as follows:

“The Anne Arundel County Executive took over in February for John Leopold, who resigned following a scandal over his misuse of county staff. Neuman made sweeping personnel changes in her first few months and brought the government’s office – which had DOS computer systems and no internet when she arrived – into the 21st century."
