Farmers Market Season Starts in Anne Arundel

Several farmers markets across the county will open in the next month.

The Anne Arundel County Farmers Market on Riva Road in Annapolis began a new season on Saturday, and drew excitement from area residents.

During the early months of the season, you can find plants and spring vegetables at the market. Participant Brenda Conti said spinach, kale and lettuce are popular items this time of year.
