Hatchet Assault Prompts Neighbor's Arrest In Anne Arundel County: Police
A man assaulted his neighbor with a hatchet in Anne Arundel County, police said. Officers arrested the suspect soon after.

PASADENA, MD — A man assaulted his neighbor with a hatchet Friday in Pasadena, police said.
Officers said the incident "stemmed from a prior disagreement that escalated into a physical confrontation" around 10:55 a.m. in the 1400 block of Stoney Point Way.
That's when authorities said the suspect hit the victim in the leg with the hatchet. The adult male victim was able to disarm the suspect.

Police don't know the depth of the victim's wound, but they said he declined medical attention.
Officers said they detained the suspect at his home and found a .22-caliber Jennings semi-automatic handgun in his possession. The suspect is prohibited from owning or possessing firearms, a press release said.

Authorities said they arrested 68-year-old James Russell Gulley of Pasadena.
The Anne Arundel County Police Department is still investigating.
