Police Charge Man with Armed Robbery on Christmas
The victim knew the assailant and where he lived, police said.
Anne Arundel County police have charged a man with armed robbery on Christmas near Glen Burnie.
Roger Harris, 40, of Brooklyn Park, was charged with robbery and theft of less than $1,000, according to a police report.
Police arrived at Glen Ridge Road at about 5 p.m. Wednesday for a report of a robbery. They spoke with a 23-year-old victim, who told police he was approached by two men who demanded money.
One of the men implied he had a handgun, police said. The victim complied with the demands and handed the robbers an unspecified amount of money, then both men fled, according to the report.
The victim told police that he knew one of the men and identified Harris and his location. Harris was later apprehended at his home in Brooklyn Park.
Police are still searching for the second suspect.
