Anne Arundel County Police Twitter Accounts Hacked
The department and chief's Twitter feeds sent out messages to followers Tuesday.

Anne Arundel County police are warning Twitter users to be careful before opening links in messages from two police Twitter feeds sent on Tuesday and Wednesday.
The two accounts—@AACOPD and @ChiefKevinDavis—were hacked, according to the department. Officials advise deleting the messages.
The fake messages included phrases including "wait, what again?" followed by a link disguised using a link shortener.

"We are working to correct this problem and ensure that it doesn’t happen again," officials said in a release. "Let this also serve as a lesson that not even law enforcement agencies are immune to identity theft and hackers."
Davis opened his Twitter account on his first day on the job last week.
