Scooter Rider Dies After Crash In Annapolis: Police

A scooter rider crashed in Annapolis and died at a hospital, police said. He was 27.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — An Annapolis man died after crashing a motorized scooter this weekend in the city, police said.

Officers identified the victim as Samuel Sheeder, 27.

Authorities said the crash happened Sunday around 6:58 p.m. in the area of West Street and Brewer Avenue. That's located just west of Westgate Circle.

Police said Sheeder was riding the scooter when he hit a curb and lost control. No other vehicles were involved.

Sheeder suffered life-threatening injuries and died at a hospital, officers said.

Authorities are still investigating.
