Snow Falls in Anne Arundel on Monday Morning

UPDATE (7:45 a.m.)—Wintry weather is expected in the area on Monday morning, with as much as 2-4 inches of snow possible, according to forecasts. 

Snow was expected to roll in sometime around 4:30 a.m. and continue through much of the day. 

Temperatures will be near the freezing mark, suggesting that roadways may remain relatively uncovered.

It's worth noting that wet and icy road conditions caused serious problems in the area last month. 

The State Highway Administration said it deployed 2,700 crews to treat and clear roadways Monday morning.

Public schools are already closed due to spring break, and county offices are open. Libraries will open two hours late, at 11 a.m.

Anne Arundel County government is opening on time Monday with a liberal leave policy in effect—essential employees are expected to report.

Anne Arundel County Senior Activity Centers will open at 10 a.m. this morning. There will be no lunch served. All nutrition sites are closed. Senior Center Plus is canceled. The Department of Aging and Disabilities transportation services are available only for medical appointments and dialysis treatment.
