Stabbing, Armed Robbery Attempted In Downtown Annapolis: Police

A male was nearly stabbed during an attempted robbery in downtown Annapolis, police said. Officers couldn't find the assault suspect.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — An attempted stabbing in downtown Annapolis left police searching for a suspect, officers said.

Authorities said they were called to the 100 block of Main Street on Sunday.

The victim told police a male assaulted him, pointed a knife at him and tried to stab him.

The victim stated that the unknown suspect demanded his phone and wallet, sparking a physical fight.

Officers said the suspect fled on foot toward Church Circle.

Authorities said they searched the area but couldn't find the suspect.

The Annapolis Police Department said nobody was hurt and nothing was stolen.
