A male was nearly stabbed during an attempted robbery in downtown Annapolis, police said. Officers couldn't find the assault suspect.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — An attempted stabbing in downtown Annapolis left police searching for a suspect, officers said.
Authorities said they were called to the 100 block of Main Street on Sunday.
The victim told police a male assaulted him, pointed a knife at him and tried to stab him.

Officers said the suspect fled on foot toward Church Circle.
