Students Spell it Out at the Anne Arundel County Spelling Bee
Several students from the Pasadena area will be competing to become county champions.
Students from schools around the county will compete to become the champion of the 23rd annual Anne Arundel County Spelling Bee on Feb. 26 at 10 a.m. in the board room of the Parham Building at 2644 Riva Road in Millersville.
The winner of the county bee will win a trip to Washington D.C. to compete in the 2011 Scriptts National Spelling Bee on June 1 and 2.
The event will be broadcast on AACPS-TV.
Students from schools in and around the Pasadena area who will be participating include:
Brooke Carloss, Grade 8, from Chesapeake Bay Middle School
Kelsey Jackson, Grade 8, from George Fox Middle School
Jessica Shultz, Grade 8, from St. Jane Frances School
