Third Time Not a Charm for Bank Robbery Suspect
Police said Jamese Queen robbed the Bank of Glen Burnie on Crain Highway twice, then was nabbed when she tried to rob another branch in Severn.

Anne Arundel County police arrested a woman wanted in connection with two bank robberies after she tried to pull off the crime a third time.Â
Police said Jamese Christine Queen, 47, was suspected of robbing the Bank of Glen Burnie on Crain Highway on Sept. 13 and Sept. 28.Â
She was arrested after trying to rob the bank's branch on Stevenson Road on Oct. 5.Â
According to charging documents, Queen was caught on surveillance video when she entered the Bank of Glen Burnie on Sept. 13. Police said she handed a teller a threatening note, and the teller gave her an undisclosed amount of cash. Included in the cash was a stack of recorded bills—known as "bait money"—and dye pack. The dye pack exploded, spraying Queen and the money with red dye.Â
Police said Queen robbed the same bank again on Sept. 28 and was also caught on camera. This time, Queen also handed a teller a threatening note, and also told the teller "No dye pack this time. I know when you come in. I know when you leave. Don't draw attention to yourself."
Queen fled the scene in a black Hyundai sedan.
According to police, Bank of Glen Burnie employees were provided with a photo of Queen. That photo came in handy on Oct. 5, when police said Queen came into the branch on Stevenson Road in Severn. A bank clerk recognized Queen from the picture, and refused to comply with any demands. Queen left, but a bank employee followed her and wrote down the license plate number from her car.Â
Police later arrested Queen at her apartment without incident. Police said she confessed to both of the previous robberies. She has been charged with two counts of robbery and theft of over $1,000 and one count of attempted robbery.Â
Bank of Glen Burnie officials said they were relieved that the case was solved quickly and that no store employees were injured.Â
"We are very thankful for the end result at this moment, and it was with great joy that I got to tell the teller that was held up twice that we apprehended the suspect," said Mike Livingston, the President and CEO of the Bank of Glen Burnie. "Money can be replaced, but people's lives cannot. When they apprehed a robber and get them off the street, it brings some relief."
