Trick-or-Treaters Assault Teen with Toy Gun in Brooklyn Park

A 15-year-old was beaten by trick-or-treaters, one of whom used a toy gun to hit the boy in the head, police said.

Anne Arundel County police said the 15-year-old boy, from Baltimore, was in a group of trick-or-treaters in Brooklyn Park Thursday night, when members of that group got into a dispute with another group.

A boy from the other group held up a toy gun, demanding the victim's cell phone, police said. When the victim noticed it wasn't a real gun he began walking away, then was struck in the back of the head with the toy gun, according to a police report.

The group of male and female suspects then beat the teen while he was on the ground, kicking and striking him with sticks, police said. His phone was taken from him before the group fled.

Several officers searched the area but did not locate the suspects.
