Zips Dry Cleaners Hosts Grand Opening in Pasadena

The dry cleaning chain held its ribbon-cutting ceremony on Saturday.

Zips Dry Cleaners opened their newest location in Pasadena at 33 Magothy Beach Road Saturday afternoon. Local personalities including county executive John R. Leopold and county councilman Derek Fink attended the ribbon cutting ceremony.

"Job creation is the number one priority, whether federal, state or local, and I applaud partners of this establishment who came forward to create this job opportunity in Pasadena," said Leopold. "It's a sluggish economy and we're doing everything we can to create jobs. I'm glad this is in our backyard."

"Job creation is something we're really concerned with in this economy and I can see behind the counter that we've got a lot of people working here," said Fink. "It'll be good for the people in the area to have a cheap dry cleaner in town."

"We're excited, it's been a long process," said owner John Rusnak, who added that all the employees of the dry cleaners were from Pasadena. "People are very excited. The typical customer is really excited to have a new innovation in dry cleaning."
