Arbutus Family Needs Community's Help

The Wineke family needs your help after the tragic loss of a beloved mom of three.

Over $20,000 in donations has been raised in just eleven days to help ease the financial burden the family will face.

The GoFundMe account reads:

On March 6th, 2015, we lost a wonderful loving mother, wife, daughter and friend to many.

Unbeknownst to her, when her illness began she was in early stages of her third pregnancy. Since that time there has been nothing but suffering for this entire family. Amanda has spent the past three years in bed because of severe pain and infections and has had over 30 invasive procedures done to try and correct her illness and was unable to do such and passed suddenly on March 6th 2015.

This illness has made it impossible to be an active part of her three sons’ lives. Before the illness, she had a home daycare, was refereeing youth basketball and was an aspiring artist. She was a vital part of her sons’ and husband’s life.

Since then, Mike Wineke, the father of the children and her loving husband, has taken on the role of being a sole provider, sole daycare father and nurturing husband yet this has taken a toll on the entire family. The oldest son Michael, now 11, is the only one of the three small children to have known the mother when she wasn’t sick and now he is left to help care for his younger brothers Jackson, now 6, and Christian, 2. This put even more stress on this family.

We are asking for your help. We need donations to pour in to help this loving family. We know times are hard for everyone now, but ask yourself as a young child you always had your mom around at their age and didn’t know the stress these boys are suffering with having no mommy. So please help us in raising as much money as we can to help with all previous medical bills that are left for the family to pay, the funeral expenses that are about to arrive and the ongoing support to help with the raising of the children. Though they have support with the love of their family and friends we all need financial support especially in a time like this.
