Powerball Jackpot Soars To $1.25B: What To Know In Maryland
Wednesday's jackpot is the second-biggest Powerball jackpot of 2025.
The jackpot in Wednesday's Powerball drawing has reached a staggering $1.25 billion, the second-largest prize of 2025, according to lottery officials.
The massive pot began accumulating in early September, after players in Missouri and Texas cashed in on the previous $1.787 billion jackpot. According to lottery officials, this is only the second time back-to-back Powerball jackpots have hit $1 billion.
The numbers drawn on Monday were white balls 23, 35, 59, 63 and 68. The red Powerball was 2. The Power Play multiplier was 2X.

There were no Powerball jackpot or $2 million Match Five Power Play winners in Monday's drawing. Two tickets sold in Arizona and California matched all five white balls to win $1 million.
Powerball tickets, which cost $2, are available in Maryland at gas stations, convenience stores, and grocery stores. The deadline to buy tickets for Wednesday's drawing is 10 p.m.

Players in 12 states and the District of Columbia can purchase tickets from their official state lottery websites. They are Connecticut, Georgia, Illinois, Kentucky (through the app), Michigan, New Hampshire, North Carolina, North Dakota, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia.
The chances of winning the jackpot are terrible, about 1 in 292.2 million. But the odds do eventually work out for some lucky players.
The last time a Maryland player won the Powerball jackpot was on Jan. 20, 2021, when a $731.1 million ticket was claimed.
Maryland has had three jackpot winners since 2003. Together, they claimed jackpots totalling $968.7 million.
Since 2003, the jackpot has been unclaimed three times:
- A ticket worth $77.1 million for the June 29, 2011, drawing was sold in Georgia;
- A ticket worth $50 million for the May 25, 2013, drawing was sold in Florida; and
- A ticket worth $139.3 million for the July 3, 2024, drawing was sold in Ohio.
Wednesday's drawing will be the 44th in the current jackpot run, beating the game record for most consecutive drawings in a single jackpot cycle.
