Boating Death Trial of Arbutus Man Delayed
Robert Stanley Holmes charged with operating under the influence in incident linked to death of 23-year-old Jordan Craig Hock.

The trial of an Arbutus man charged after piloting a boat from which a 23-year-old man fell and died has been postponed until April 13, Delmarva Now reported.
Robert Stanley Holmes, 53, of the 1000-block of Plover Drive in Arbutus, was charged with operating a vessel while under the influence after the Aug. 6, 2011, death of Jordan Craig Hock, of the 1200-block of Francis Avenue in Arbutus.
, Hock was "bow-riding" on a 24-foot pontoon boat being operated by Holmes when he fell off and went beneath the boat in Assawoman Bay.

Holmes' attorney asked a Snow Hill Disrict Court judge for a continuance on Feb. 24 because of a possible plea bargain, but the Worcester County State's Attorney reportedly wants to take the case to trial, according to Delmarva Now.
