Events in the Arbutus area you should know about.

A female dog was found wandering on Ten Oaks Road on Tuesday Nov. 15. She appears to be a doberman mix, wearing a grey collar with paw prints on it. If you know who this dog belongs to, contact bruce.goldfarb@patch.com.

Arbutus Improvement Association is looking for crafters and vendors for its first Holiday Cash & Carry event on Dec. 10 at the , which takes place directly after a Quarter Auction. If you're interested in participating or reserving a table, contact Angie Imbraguglio at a.imbraguglio@comcast.net.

Arbutus Business and Professional Association will be decorating the East Drive business district and the Southwestern Boulevard gateway this Saturday, Nov. 19. Santa makes his annual return to Arbutus on Saturday, Nov. 26 at 6 p.m., where he will take residence at the Santa House next to . If you're interested in being a Santa House sponsor, forward your donations to ABPA by Nov. 18. Donations of $100 or more receive a mention on the Ice Cream Cottage sign.

This year, for the first time in many years, the Arbutus Community Association is putting up a real tree, said to be 12 feet tall or more. ACA is seeking donations of lights and weather-resistant ornaments for the tree.

Interestingly, the Lansdowne Business and Professional Association will welcome Santa a day earlier--Friday, Nov. 25, starting at 5:30 p.m. Santa and his helpers will receive vistiors at his Lansdowne residence on the property of on Saturdays and Sundays from 6-8 p.m. For more information, contact Jackie Jones at gazerlady@comcast.net

On Monday, Nov. 14, Giant Foods delivered 750 turkeys to Halethorpe-based to honor the supermarket's 75th anniversary. The chain will also deliver 750 turkeys to each of four other food banks across the state, for a total of 3,750 turkeys.
