Culinary Class Graduates at MD Food Bank

Thirteen students graduated Dec. 22 from the 12-week FoodWorks culinary training program conducted by the Halethorpe-based Maryland Food Bank.

Students in the FoodWorks learn a range of culinary techniques while producing healthful heat-and-eat meals with food donated to the Maryland Food Bank.

Meals produced by the FoodWorks program are distributed through the Maryland Food Bank’s network of more than 600 soup kitchens, food pantries, shelters and other community-based feeding programs across the state.

This is the fifth class to graduate from the FoodWorks training program since it began in August 2010. Since launch, 48 students have graduated from FoodWorks--all with offers for full-time employment.
