During the period Feb. 26-Mar. 4, AVFD received 63 calls for medical and fire-rescue service, including the following:
Feb. 27: At 11:58 a.m., a motor vehicle accident with injury was reported at UMBC. Crews from the AVFD responded. One person with non-life-threatening injuries was taken to a local hospital.

Feb. 27: At 6:35 p.m., an injured subject was reported on the 700-block of Edmondson Avenue in Catonsville. Crews from the AVFD responded. One seriously injured person was taken to Johns Hopkins Pediatric Trauma Center.
Feb. 27: At 8:13 p.m., a carbon monoxide detector activation was reported on the 5500-block of Ashbourne Road in Catonsville. Crews from the AVFD responded to find high levels of carbon monoxide in the dwelling, and ventilated the structure.

Feb. 28: At 10:23 a.m. a cadiac arrest was reported at UMBC. Crews from the AVFD and Catonsville career station responded. One critically ill person was taken to a local hospital.
Feb. 28: At 6:44 p.m., a building fire was reported on the unit block of Alco Place in English Consul. Crews from the English Consul, Arbutus, Lansdowne and Violetville volunteer stations and Catonsville and Halethorpe career stations responded to find a natural gas line that was struck, but no fire.
