Fire-Rescue Log: Cardiac Arrest on St.Charles Avenue

During the period Feb. 5-12, AVFD received 65 calls for medical and fire-rescue service, including the following:

Feb. 6: At 2:35 p.m., a motor vehicle accident was reported at Wilkens and Beechfield avenues. Crews from the AVFD responded to find property damage, but no injuries.

Feb. 8: At 9:02 a.m., a cardiac arrest was reported on the 700-block of Linda Drive in Catonsville. Crews from the AVFD and Catonsville career station responded. One critically ill person was transported to a local hospital.

Feb. 8: At 12 p.m., a bleeding subject was reported on the 4800-block of Benson Avenue in Violetville. Crews from the  Violetville and Arbutus volunteer stations responded. One seriously injured person was taken to a local hospital.

Feb. 8: At 4:04 p.m., a cardiac arrest was reported on the 900-block of St. Charles Avenue in Arbutus. Crews from the Arbutus and Violetville volunteer stations responded to find one deceased person.

Feb. 9: At 5:23 p.m., a natural gas leak was reported on the 4400-block of Hillside Avenue in Arbutus. Crews from the AVFD responded. No leak was found.
