During the period Feb. 19-26, AVFD received 61 calls for medical and fire-rescue service, including the following:
Feb. 21: At 2:01 a.m., a school fire was reported at Westowne Elementary School, 401 Harlem Lane in Catonsville. Crews from the AVFD and Catonsville and Westview career stations responded to find steam from a vent, but no fire.

Feb. 21: At 5:30 a.m., two fainting subjects were reported at Davita Dialysis, 1581 Sulphur Spring Road in Arbutus. Crews from the AVFD and Catonsville and Halethorpe career station responded. Two seriously ill people were taken to a local hospital.
Feb. 22: At 6:35 a.m., a fall injury was reported on the 4400-block of Ridge Drive in Arbutus. Crews from the AVFD responded and transported one seriously injured person to University of Maryland Shock Trauma.

Feb. 22: At 6:50 a.m., a fall injury was reported on the 5000-block of Wilkens Avenue in Arbutus. Crews from the AVFD and Halethorpe career station responded. One critically ill person was taken to a local hospital.
Feb. 22: At 4:47 p.m., a motor vehicle accident with injury was reported on Wilkens Avenue at I-695. Crews from the Arbutus and Lansdowne volunteer stations responded. Two people with non-life-threatening injuries were taken to a local hospital.
