Lansdowne Man Charged with Police Station Bomb Threat

Called in bomb threats to Precinct 1/Wilkens on Nov. 21.

A Lansdowne man faces criminal charges after phoning in a bomb threat to the Precinct 1/Wilkens station on Nov. 21.

According to police, Charles Milton Bradley, 48, of the 1900-block of Victory Drive used a cell phone to call 911 shortly after 9 p.m. and claim that a bomb was going to detonate at Precinct 1/Wilkens.

When a 911 operator called the cell phone number back, a woman answered the phone and provided the Victory Drive address.

According to police, within minutes of being placed in a holding cell at Precinct 1/Wilkens, Bradley stuffed a roll of toilet paper in the commode and turned on the sink faucets, flooding his cell and causing $400 in damage.

Consequently, he was also charged with malicious destruction of property.

At Bradley's bail hearing, the state initially asked that bail be set at $75,000. Based on Bradley's appearance at the hearing, the court ordered that he be held without bail.

According to police, Bradley has no known beef with Baltimore County police or the Precinct 1/Wilkens station.

"There is no indication of why these calls were made," said police spokesperson Det. Cathleen Batton.
