Scooter driver failed to yield right-of-way in incident at Shelbourne and Linden.

A 68-year-old man was struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Shelbourne and Linden in Arbutus on Wednesday evening.

According to police, the victim was riding a motorized scooter westbound on Shelbourne Road at around 5:30 p.m. and was struck by a 2000 Acura driven by a 76-year-old man driving southbound on Linden Avenue toward Arbutus.

The victim failed to yield the right-of-way while crossing Linden, police said. He was transported by ambulance to the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center with non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.

Officials have not released the identity of either driver. No charges or citations have been filed, and the incident remains under investigation, according to police.
