Pedestrian Critically Injured in Lansdowne Station Hit-and-Run

Police looking for green SUV that critically injured 14-year-old girl.

A 14-year-old girl was critically injured while crossing Washington Boulevard near Lansdowne Station the evening of Aug. 24.

According to Baltimore County police, at around 9:26 p.m. Helen Marie Margrave was crossing to the bus stop on the east side of Washington Boulevard, near Commerce, when she was struck by a northbound vehicle described as a green GMC SUV.

The vehicle failed to stop after striking Margrave, continuing to travel north on Washington Boulevard.

Margrave suffered life-threatening injuries and was transported to the Johns Hopkins Children's Center.

Police said that the vehicle that struck Margrave would have sustained a possible broken right side headlight as well as damage to the gray plastic trim surrounding the headlight and turn signal.
